Art Installation in Progress

It has been 8 months in progress.  My art installation in Uncommon Common Art is one of 16 that will be in place by May 25, 2016 in Kings County Nova Scotia.  People and Place is  visual reminder that people effect place and place effects people.  Now in my studio are  eleven whimsical portraits of living people in Grand Pre waiting to be put up at the corner of Grand Pre Road and Old Post Road in Grand Pre.  They will be installed so that the people are looking over the hedge. You will find a map of the location of other art installations when they are printed.  What you see here is the portraits being worked on in my studio.  They are painted on gourds which I  grew in my garden. You will see the locations of all the art installation by checking out  Uncommon Common Art 2016 on google search.

A Painting in Process

If you interested in the process of art, you may find the following pictures interesting.
They were taken as I was painting at the Avondale Art Fair where I had a bouquet of peonise from my garden.I used an imaginary fence to set off the lovely flowers
The pictures where taken by Leona Nielsen-Hennebury.
