Acadian Forest in Winter
Brave the cold, go into the sparling snow in the woods on snow shoes and you too will see why winter in the forest can be beautiful. Perhaps a little rabbit has been there or an eagle will call to its mate flying high in the winter sky. This painting is 9 by 13. If you are interested in buying it, see the contact information in my profile.

Ready for Dumping Day
Tamed Tides
The Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia, Canada has the highest tides in the world. For more than 400 years the tide has been tamed by the Acadian farmers who first blocked the sea by building the first dikes . These dikes prevent the powerful Bay of Fundy from washing over the land every 12 hours. These fertile dike lands are maintained by modern farmers in a cooperative manner. It is proposed that this site become an UNESCO World Heritage Site . This original painting shows the deep mud flats which border the fields protected by earthen dikes. The painting is 19 by 14 inches.
